Common koalas have been promoted worldwide for conservation efforts and species assistance. They're cute, despite being awful and grumpy. Attempts to raise funds for the support of their northern cousins have usually failed, however. No one really wants to cuddle or coddle these snaggle-toothed aberrations, and their unpleasant odor only secures their status as "least-loved endangered species".
